Birding in Topslip
The Indira Gandhi National Park (IGNP) situated between the Anamalai Ranges of Tamil Nadu and the Nelliampathy Ranges of Kerala and goes under the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. The Topslip territory, a principle birding zone lies in the Coimbatore region of Tamil Nadu. It covers the Park and also the Anamalai Wildlife Sanctuary spreading over a range of 108 sq km and 958 square kilometers separately. Birding in Topslip gives an uncommon view to birding lovers.
Topslip also called as Valparai has many types of avifauna including the Racquet Tailed Drongo, Black Headed Oriole, Paradise Flycatcher, Whistling Thrush and the Emerald Dove.
Other than flying creatures, IGNP is home to one of the world’s rarest primates, the Lion-tailed Macaque. Beat Slip also has a massive grouping of the endemic Nilgiri Langur and the fortunate can detect the Indian Chevrotain and the uncommon Brown Mongoose.

How to Reach Topslip
By Air: Coimbatore airplane terminal is the closest universal air terminal to Topslip – roughly 97 km (using Pollachi).
By Bus: There are just two transports from Pollachi to Topslip regular. They leave Pollachi transport station at 6.00 a.m. what’s more, 3.00 p.m. Therefore, The same transport comes back to Pollachi at 8 am and 6 pm.
By Train: Coimbatore Junction is the closest railroad station – around 42 km. At present, all prepare benefits in Pollachi-Coimbatore; Pollachi – Palani, Dindigul; Pollachi – Palakkad areas ceased due the Meter Gauge to Broad Gauge transformations.
