Vivekananda Mela in Andaman
Other two celebrations celebrated in Andaman & Nicobar Islands are Vivekananda Mela & Block Mela. Vivekananda Mela in Andaman held at Neil Island & remembers the conception of Swami Vivekananda. This celebration also held in January. The other festival i.e. the Block Mela takes place in Diglipur which is a town that arranges in North Andaman Island. This festival celebrates each year in January or February. It showcases the life in an ordinary city of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Aside from this, it also focuses on the development & change that the rural zones experienced.
Vivekananda Mela sorted out in the month of January. Therefore, it celebrates at the Neil Islands on the conception celebration of Swami Vivekananda.
The week-long Vivekananda Mela will be composed by Vivekananda Mela Committee, at Neil Island to celebrate the conception commemoration of Swami Vivekananda on Jan 12. In the week-long Mela, the Committee will sort out the social project, sports activities & structure will raise for different offices to show their activities. Private slows down will also permit to embrace business exercises.

How to Reach Andaman
By Air: Veer Savarkar International Airport or Port Blair Airport is the primary air terminal interfacing these islands with different parts of the world. Normal flights for Port Blair from principal Indian cities like Chennai, Cochin, Vishakhapatnam, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, and Delhi. From Port Blair, travelers can take ships to come to the Andamans.
By Sea: The Andaman can also come via ocean course however it’s a period consuming experience. From Kolkata & Chennai, three to four boats travel each month to Port Blair & the other way around. Also, a ship sails from Vishakhapatnam to once every month. Therefore, The ocean experience takes around 52 to 62 hrs.
